For the 3rd consecutive year, we have our Internal Accounting Case Competition or IACC held via Zoom on November 7, 2021 for a whole day event!

This is a group case competition that challenges and applies your technical knowledge from accounting courses to a practical case! If you have a team in mind, feel free to drop their names when signing up, or if not, we’re more than happy to pair and match you up!

This is a great opportunity to be able to hone and train your critical thinking skills, teamwork, and overall presentation skills. This also relates directly to the CPA PEP program, so if you want to get a head, sign up!!

2018 CPA Wine and Cheese tickets!

Hello everyone,

CPA Wine & Cheese tickets are still available for purchase!

Registered ASBAA members can purchase tickets for $15.

For $35, you automatically become an ASBAA member and get entry to CPA Wine & Cheese. Tickets will be sold at the Drake basement booth #6 and can also be purchased at the door on event day!

CPA Wine & Cheese starts from 4:30 to 9:00 PM. The event will be a come and go format. You will be able to arrive and leave the event at your own convenience.

Toronto Trip – Last Minute Extension To Deadline [Tuesday @12:00pm]

The trip of a lifetime.

Students must:

1. Be admitted to and registered in the Asper School of Business;

2. Be in good standing with the Asper School of Business, and the University of Manitoba, both academically and professionally;

3. Not have attended the Toronto trip in prior years;

4. Be an accounting major having completed both ACC 1100 and ACC 1110 with a grade of C+ or better, and be currently enrolled, or completed one of the following: ACC 2010, ACC 2020, ACC 3040 or ACC 4030.

5. Have a declared accounting major on aurora.

First Membership Meeting – September 17th, 2018 [6:00 – 9:00pm, 343 Drake]

ASBAA’s first member meeting of the 2018/2019 academic year will include professionals from Richardson and Grant Thornton who will speak about their experience as accountants. We will also be having CPA Manitoba speak about the Accounting profession and program in the general.

New members will also hear about the main events we put on and the wide array opportunities being offered for the rest of the year.

note: ASBAA memberships is required to attend the meeting. Memberships will be on sale for $15 from starting September 10 on the first floor of the Drake Centre. Memberships can also be purchased at the door on September 17th.

There will be a Jets draw at the end of the meeting.
