Our first member meeting will be held on Thursday, September 19th in 122 Drake Centre. The meeting will start at 5:30 and end at approximately 7:30pm. We have two fabulous speakers in attendance that will share their experiences as professional accountants. Following our wonderful guest speakers, we will also be speaking about what ASBAA has to offer its members throughout the year, and of course … FREE PIZZA! We also have a few students coming in to answer your questions on what the recruiting process was like for them last year! If you have questions like what should I wear? what were the interviews like? how did you survive?! Then please stick around at the end of the meeting and they will answer those questions for you. This meeting is for ASBAA members only, so please pick up your ASBAA membership at our booth on the 2nd floor of Drake. Only $15! We will also be selling memberships at the door, so come early if you don’t have time to pick one up before the meeting 🙂

He started his career in accounting in 1983 by working in public practice for other Winnipeg firms for several years and 2½ years in industry. Jean-Guy started Talbot & Associates on a part time basis in 1987 and started operating full time in 1991 when he got his CGA designation.
Starting with a very modest office out of his basement, Jean-Guy grew his practice from a one person operation to its current size by providing professional personalized service for a fair price.
Talbot & Associates, Certified General Accountant, Professional Corporation has enjoyed outstanding growth over the past 20 years having grown from a one person operation to their current status of having 24 team members. The tremendous growth has come from their capabilities to provide all services in both French and English, their specialization in the agriculture industry, and their ability to provide far more than just accounting services. They strive to help clients with all matters of their business with special emphasis on whatever keeps them up at night.
The firm provides timely, professional, bilingual accounting, auditing, tax, bookkeeping, and consulting services to a wide range of clients from the hospitality, manufacturing, retail, transportation, service, construction, automotive, and agriculture fields.
They are especially proud of their ability to listen to the needs and desires of their clients. This skill has allowed them to truly build a relationship with their clients and understand the problems that they are experiencing so the firm can serve them best.
The Talbot & Associates team members thoroughly enjoy the luxury of working for a dynamic, close knit firm. This enjoyment stems from having weekly team meetings, and regular group activities including a dodge ball team, and a recent team building retreat in Cuba.
